Its almost time again! One of my favorite events is the Olympics and I LOVE when they come around every couple of years. Summer or winter, I love them both! Two years ago I created some printables for the London Olympics and I’ve updated them now for Sochi. I know I am cutting it a little close since the Olympics are only 10 days away but you still have plenty of time to throw together a fun Opening Ceremonies party whether it is just for your little family or with lots of friends.
The PDF set has a Medal Tracker where you can keep a running total for different countries throughout the whole games. It comes with Olympic Party Circles that can be used as cupcake toppers, mini banner, decorations, etc. However you like! And it also includes large and small medals in gold, silver, and bronze. You can also use them as decorations or make your very own medals by stringing them onto some ribbon. And if you happen to be rooting for another country besides the USA then you can just discard those elements. But I had to include them for my good ol’ homeland!
Here are some other great ideas to get you started.
Leana threw an adorable Olympic birthday party for her son and the details are so cute. My favorite are these Olympic torches. Perfect snack while viewing.
I made some Minty Olympic Cookies, and if you enjoy thin mints from the girl scouts you’ll love these as well.
Olympic Rings Pizza from Taste of Home
Gold Cookies & Paper Torch from Alpha Mom
However you decide to celebrate, enjoy cheering on your country and all the athletes! And I just have to say….Go Team USA!
