Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to plan a romantic date night and it doesn’t have to be complicated or super elaborate. In fact, just a little bit of planning is all you need to create a romantic dinner for two right in your own home!
Chances are you are going to be cooking dinner sometime around Valentine’s Day anyway, right? (Or at the very least ordering some delivery!) So why not take a few extra steps to make that ordinary dinner, extraordinary. Surprise your special someone with an invitation letting them know to expect a little extra “somethin somethin” when they get home that night.
Ladies…make sure to give them all the details they’ll need. Men aren’t known for reading in between the lines. :)
Set up your own little cafe by creating a menu for the evening. You can make a favorite meal, try something new, or even order in from your favorite restaurant if you want to take away any stress.
Decorate the table! Here’s a tip: Just about everything on this table can be found at the Dollar Tree. The candles and candlesticks, rose petals, hearts, red glasses, flowers, etc. Of course you don’t have to buy anything either. Just setting out your nice plates on a pretty tablecloth would do the trick.
What will really set the mood….candlelight! Turn those lights down low for a romantic, intimate atmosphere.
One thing to note- While this is a Valentine’s Day post, you’ll note that I didn’t make the printables super “Valentine-y.” That is because you can do this fun date any day of the year! And you should! Romance should be an every day thing!
